These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to this website and municipal digital services that link to it. By using them, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. A particular form, portal, transaction, or third-party provider may have additional terms.
Municipality and technology-provider roles
Township of Tewksbury (“Municipality”) owns and approves its municipal content, records, programs, policies, legal compliance, and service decisions. AlphaDog Solutions is an independent website technology provider that develops and supports the platform under its agreement with the Municipality. AlphaDog Solutions is not a municipal agency, records custodian, payment processor, emergency service, publisher of official determinations, or guarantor of municipal or third-party services.
No emergencies or automatic formal filing
Do not use this website, email, or an online form to report an emergency. Call 911 or the appropriate emergency service. Unless the responsible municipal office expressly states otherwise, an online message does not satisfy a statutory notice, tort claim, appeal, permit or license filing, public-record request, tax or utility payment, court filing, or deadline. A submission or transaction is complete only when the responsible office or service provider confirms acceptance.
Information is provided for public convenience
The Municipality makes reasonable efforts to provide useful and timely information, but website content may contain errors, omissions, or delays. Verify legal, tax, payment, meeting, election, permit, deadline, and public-safety information with the responsible office and official record. Machine translations are provided for convenience and may be inaccurate; the official source controls where permitted by law.
Acceptable use
You may use the services only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- attempt unauthorized access, security testing, credential misuse, or circumvention of access controls;
- introduce malware or interfere with the availability, integrity, or performance of a service;
- impersonate another person or submit information you know is materially false or misleading;
- scrape, automate, or overload a service in a manner that disrupts public access;
- violate privacy, intellectual-property, publicity, contractual, or other rights; or
- submit content you do not have authority to provide.
Access may be limited when reasonably necessary to protect users, systems, records, or the continuity of public services. Lawful public-record access and ordinary search-engine indexing are not prohibited by this section.
User submissions
You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of information you submit. You authorize the Municipality and service providers acting for it to receive, transmit, store, reproduce, route, and process the submission as needed to provide the requested service, maintain records, secure systems, and comply with law. Do not submit unsolicited sensitive information. Submissions may be government records subject to OPRA, retention schedules, legal holds, and lawful disclosure.
Third-party services and links
Depending on municipal features, this website may use or link to Google services, Mailchimp, SendGrid, Flickr, Meta/Facebook, X/Twitter, NJLegalAds, Edmunds WIPP, GovPilot/GovAlert, Jotform, BoxCast, eLocalLink, UserWay, AddThis, AddToCalendar, Font Awesome, content-delivery networks, Auth0, CKFinder, and other providers. Third-party services have their own terms, privacy practices, accessibility, security, fees, and availability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Municipality and AlphaDog Solutions do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, transactions, outages, pricing, security, or acts and omissions. A link is provided for convenience and does not imply endorsement. Review the provider’s terms and keep any receipt or confirmation.
Intellectual property and government information
Public records remain subject to applicable access and reuse law. Site design, software, trademarks, seals, logos, provider materials, photographs, and third-party assets may be protected. You may not remove notices, misuse a seal or mark, or present copied material in a way that falsely suggests sponsorship, authority, or endorsement by the Municipality or AlphaDog Solutions.
Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE WEBSITE, CONTENT, AND CONNECTED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” THE MUNICIPALITY, ALPHADOG SOLUTIONS, AND THEIR OFFICIALS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, CONTRACTORS, AND SUPPLIERS DISCLAIM ALL EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, AVAILABILITY, SECURITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND ERROR-FREE OPERATION. RIGHTS THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE DISCLAIMED ARE NOT AFFECTED.
Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE MUNICIPALITY, ALPHADOG SOLUTIONS, AND THEIR OFFICIALS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, CONTRACTORS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, LOST PROFITS, MISSED DEADLINES, FAILED PAYMENTS, SERVICE INTERRUPTION, OR RELIANCE ON WEBSITE OR THIRD-PARTY CONTENT. THIS LIMITATION DOES NOT EXCLUDE LIABILITY THAT APPLICABLE LAW DOES NOT PERMIT TO BE EXCLUDED.
Indemnity and AlphaDog protections
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Municipality, AlphaDog Solutions, and their officials, employees, affiliates, and contractors from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful misuse of a service, violation of these Terms, or submission of content that infringes another person’s rights. AlphaDog Solutions and its affiliates and personnel are intended third-party beneficiaries of the acceptable-use, disclaimer, limitation-of-liability, release, and indemnity provisions and may enforce them directly.
Municipal vendor contracts are not changed
These public Terms do not amend the Municipality’s agreement with AlphaDog Solutions or any other vendor, create duties beyond an executed agreement, or make a website visitor a beneficiary of such an agreement. As between contracting parties, their signed agreement controls.
General terms
New Jersey law governs these Terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Proceedings must be brought in a court with jurisdiction where the Municipality is located, except where law requires otherwise. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms may be revised by posting an updated version and date; continued use after posting constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
