Township of Tewksbury (“Municipality,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides this website as a public service. This Privacy Policy explains the information handled when you visit https://tewksburytwp.alphadogtest.com or use a municipal digital service that links to this policy.
Who is responsible for this website
The Municipality is the public body responsible for municipal content, official records, programs, services, and decisions about personal information. AlphaDog Solutions develops and supports the website platform as a technology service provider under its agreement with the Municipality. AlphaDog Solutions is not the Municipality, a records custodian, a payment processor, or the author of municipal policies and official decisions.
Information we collect
Information collected automatically
Web servers and enabled services may record an IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages and files requested, date and time, approximate location derived from an IP address, performance data, and error or security events. We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve municipal digital services.
Information you choose to provide
We collect information you submit through contact, help-desk, incident-reporting, subscription, registration, upload, payment, public-record, or other forms. Depending on the service, that may include your name, contact information, message, address, account or parcel reference, uploaded files, and other details needed to answer or route the request. Do not send Social Security numbers, health information, financial credentials, or other sensitive information unless an authorized municipal service specifically asks for it.
How information is used
Information may be used to:
- deliver the information, notice, transaction, or municipal service you requested;
- route inquiries and submissions to the appropriate municipal office;
- send subscription and transactional messages and maintain delivery or opt-out records;
- protect accounts, systems, users, and public resources from fraud, misuse, or security threats;
- measure usage and improve performance, accessibility, navigation, and content; and
- meet audit, records-retention, litigation-hold, contractual, and legal obligations.
Government records and disclosure
Information sent to a New Jersey public body may become a government record. It may be retained or disclosed as required by the Open Public Records Act (OPRA), records-retention schedules, court orders, subpoenas, litigation holds, law-enforcement requirements, or other applicable law. A submission is not confidential merely because it was sent through a website or email. Questions about an official record should be directed to the Municipality’s records custodian.
Email and notifications
When enabled, newsletter subscriptions are submitted to Mailchimp. Municipal and transactional email may be delivered through SendGrid or configured email infrastructure. These providers may process your email address, message metadata, delivery status, opens, clicks, bounces, or unsubscribe requests under their own terms and the Municipality’s account settings. You may use the unsubscribe link in a subscription email. Operational messages related to a request may still be sent. Email is not guaranteed to be confidential, secure, immediate, or error-free.
Cookies, analytics, and embedded services
The site and enabled providers may use essential or session cookies, translation preferences, analytics cookies, and technologies used by embedded content. Browser controls can restrict cookies, but some search, translation, form, media, or account features may not work correctly. The site does not currently promise a separate response to “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals.
Depending on features enabled or linked by the Municipality, providers may include:
- Google Analytics, Programmable Search, Translate, Maps, Fonts, and reCAPTCHA;
- Mailchimp, SendGrid, Flickr, Meta/Facebook, X/Twitter, Font Awesome, UserWay, AddThis, and AddToCalendar;
- content-delivery services such as jsDelivr and unpkg;
- NJLegalAds, Edmunds WIPP, GovPilot/GovAlert, Jotform, BoxCast, and eLocalLink; and
- staff-side services such as Auth0 and CKFinder for authenticated administration.
A provider is used only when its feature is enabled, embedded, or linked. Providers and features may change. When information is sent directly to a third party—or you leave this site—the third party’s privacy notice and terms apply. The Municipality and AlphaDog Solutions do not sell resident personal information through this website or use it for AlphaDog advertising. This statement does not control independent practices of third-party providers.
External services and transactions
Payment, legal-ad, reporting, mapping, social, streaming, and form portals may be operated by third parties. Review the destination service’s policies before submitting information. Keep any confirmation number or receipt; a transaction or filing is not complete until the responsible provider or municipal office confirms it.
Security and retention
The Municipality and its providers use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to their roles. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Information is retained according to applicable municipal schedules, operational need, contracts, legal holds, and law, then deleted or disposed of when permitted.
Children
This is a general-government website and is not directed to children. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted personal information unnecessarily should contact the Municipality.
Your choices and corrections
You may unsubscribe from optional email, adjust browser cookie settings, or avoid optional third-party embeds. To request correction of information supplied through a municipal service, contact the responsible municipal office. Records laws may limit deletion or alteration.
